Karmin – Look at me now - Thought you have heard it all?  A white chick spittin Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne lyric for lyric!  AND as shay whitey as she may be, she still has some flavor…somehow!  CRAZY GOOD!  If you only listen to one thing, listen to this one!

Joe Brooks – Superman - I heard this song probably 5 or 6 years ago on MySpace when this was the only song on his playlist.  Now he’s got a recording deal and it’s still good.  I think he’s English as well.

Kreayshawn – Gucci Gucci - The beat is hot…the lyrics are NOT.  She’s terrible, but I am intrigued by how the world can listen to garbage…over and over and over again…and still call it music. She used to work at Ikea then one day she bought a MacBook and started writing rhymes……..This is how all bad movies start.  This is the suburban Hustle & Flow  story.  Except it would get boo’d at Sundance.

DJ Khaled, Keyshia Cole, Chris Brown – Legendary - I heard an interview a few months ago about DJ Khaled saying this was going to be the biggest song of the summer and was going to redefine careers and what not. So, I couldn’t wait to listen.  Man was that

Brian McKnight – Fall 5.0 – B. McKnizzle is back!  He has a new album and a song with his son Jr. that is pretty good.  But as soon as I heard this song, I started thinking “ahhh, Mr. McKnight, where have you been”.  Not really.  I just liked it

Ellie Goulding – Lights - This has a ton of remixes, but I love the original.  So sue me! She’s English…English singers make the best dance tracks.  Sorry Rihanna…

Wow.  Maybe my favorite Beyonce song of all time.  It reminds me of a late 90s song or a Stevie Wonder/Quincy Jones inspired track.  NOICE!

I love the hook on this song, it’s a little pop rock joint.  Found this band by accident, like most of my favorites.

Martin Solveig ft Dragonette – Hello

You’ve heard it on that commercial.  Well there’s a real song (as usual) and it’s really good! No good lyrics, just a fresh new song to my playlist :)

Colbie Caillat – Brighter than the sun

One day like 6 years ago, I was on MySpace browsing unsigned artists and came across this hot blonde chick with a ukulele and was like what is this.  And then i clicked play and heard that bubbly song.  And I was like, man this is cute!  So i searched high and low for MP3s of all of her songs listened to her til I couldn’t anymore.  So I forgot about her til she got famous and rereleased the same songs and I got sick of her.

Well Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic has reinvented this little Hawaiian gem and I like it.  She is now a mix between Vanessa Carlton and Kelly Clarkson.  Right dab in the middle of em!

Aloe Blacc – I need a dollar

I was out talking on my deck with my boy last weekend and a car pulls up blasting this song at midnight.  I see 4 people dancing in the car for 3 minutes before stepping out.  4 white girls.  Definitely not who I was expecting, but I guess white chicks have good taste in music too!

Big Sean – Don’t tell me you love me

He’s definitely not the biggest thing to hit the streets, but he obviously has the support of some big names like Kanye West for one.  He’s on his G.O.O.D. music label.  This song reminds me a little of a Lupe Fiasco or J. Cole lyrically but it definitely isn’t on their level yet.

Birdpaula – Give in to love

Nice flowy easy calming song.  Like a good version of Colbie Caillat.  Makes me wanna follow directions and give in to love…BUT I WILL NEVER!!!

Skylar Grey – Love the way you lie

NOT the version you know with Eminem.  This is all Skylar! What a beautiful voice…She could sing to the wind and I’ll fall asleep I swear.  Don’t judge me!  I’m easily pleased!

Chris Brown ft Justin Bieber – Next 2 U

This song is pretty good!  Bieber can actually sing.  Not gonna hate too hard on him…at least he is better than Hannah Montana.  It’s a little awkward hearing him sing about having “your eyes on a little me” though.  He’s only 12.  But then again, babies having babies is the new cool thing to do.

Big Bamboo Jamaican Calypso

Hilarious.  We heard this on the bus ride in Jamaica on our way to the hotel.  I was so tired and agitated…but I couldn’t help but laugh the whole time.

Lupe Fiasco - Little Weapon

Rap song.  But it doesn’t have any cursing in it (I don’t believe) The intro lyrics are powerful about kids and gun violence here in the states and in war torn countries.  They don’t know any better and it shows the beginning of gang banging and civil war in countries from the eyes of the kid.  One of my favorite rap songs lyrically.  Don’t want to listen?  Then please just read it.   http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/lupefiasco/littleweapon.html

Adele - I Found A Boy 

This song is fantastic.  Powerful.  Adele has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard….and I’m sure you’ve heard it all before from me, but just listen.  Wow.  If I had a daughter, I hope this is her theme song after a breakup.

My Sick Six! Plus a Bonus!

This is a new thing I’m going to do.  I get to expand blog!  I bartered with L and we both win!  Which means more posts! I will still be writing about some great stuff dealing with me and L.  I have a great post coming in the next day or two recapping our trip to Jamaica!!!

But today, I have six seven songs you shuld listen to in order to complete your life. Yes your life.  Your life was incomplete before you heard these songs.  Now you are completely awesome.  Enjoy your awesome day, awesome one!

Gossip - Pop goes the World - Whoa…don’t even know who this is…but this song has me jammin…like a pop, girl version of Cee-Lo!…maybe not.

Day 26 – Co star – One of the many groups who’s careers were murdered viciously by P Diddy.  Could have been the next New Edition or 112 or Jagged Edge…but then Que thought he was Bobby Brown and started getting an attitude and Diddy ruined the whole group…idiot

Outkast – SpottieOttieDopaliscious  -  I think I skipped school to buy this album.  This is the first time I heard an Atlanta accent spoken.  Couldn’t believe it.  I was hooked.  I couldn’t stop listening.  I remember riding around in my cousins car pumpin this at full volume!  Couldn’t have been happier.  Now I found my own SpottieOttieDopaliscious girl :)

The Script – Live Like We’re Dying – They’re Irish! – Kris Allen covered their song, or they gaveit to him for his first single.  Either way,  the original is greater!

Kris Allen – Heartless – So good that he put it on his album.  There are multiple versions of this.  Listen to them all as they are all very different and all very good! The cover thief covers Kanye’s song Heartless.  One of the best covers I’ve ever heard actually.

Jenny Lane – Say say say – Everyone I show this video to or play this song for, hates it.  Including L.  I like it for some reason!  so…I’m saying you should listen to it!  But she has a very good voice!

Mint Condition – What kind of man would I be - I remember almost murdering me one day because I was singing this and drumming in my room to this at full volume with my headphones on.  Needless to say, I was angry that interrupted the song!
